Welcome to the World Affairs Council of America California Central Coast Chapter website. Our goal is to present world leaders and engaging speakers on a variety of today's most relevant global issues.
The World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) is an association of 90 independent organizations in 39 states and the District of Columbia that work to engage and educate Americans on International Affairs and Foreign Policy. All member organizations are non-profit, non-partisan, and maintain an open membership policy - everyone is welcome to join!
WACA promotes understanding by sponsoring public programs for citizens of all ages that foster discussion of international issues. We do this through programs such as:
- Travel programs for teachers;
- Thematic speakers series; and
- Conducting internationally oriented events.
